As an award-winning entertainment venue, The Commodore Ballroom has a longstanding reputation for delivering outstanding service, centred on the goal of making each guest’s experience at the venue memorable and enjoyable. General details on the services provided are outlined below.

CASHLESS PAYMENT

Commodore Ballroom is now an entirely cashless venue, and only major credit cards, debit cards, and mobile forms of payment will be accepted at all events. Select points of sale at artist merchandise may still accept cash.

ALCOHOL

With a wide assortment of beer, wine, spirits, and cocktails to choose from, The Commodore Ballroom’s professional staff can accommodate almost any beverage request.

BAG POLICY

The maximum allowable bag size is 12” x 6” x 12” (30cm x 15cm x 30cm), including purses. ANY BACKPACKS WILL NOT BE PERMITTED. All event attendees and items will be subject to search when entering the venue

DINING

The Commodore Ballroom offers a grab-and-go menu available to all guests and a select VIP appetizer menu for premium seating. Please refer to the Menu section for more information on dining at the Commodore Ballroom.

SMOKING

The Commodore Ballroom is a non-smoking establishment.

ACCESSIBLE SEATING

The Commodore Ballroom is fully wheelchair accessible. Elevator access is available through the main entrance on Granville Street.

SEATING

The Commodore Ballroom is a General Admission room with limited table seating. It is recommended that guests hoping to secure seats arrive early or contact the Commodore Ballroom in advance about possible table reservations. Download seating plan (subject to change based on event). To reserve a table  please go to Services, then Table Reservations.  All pricing and perk information will be listed on Sevenrooms.

RESTROOMS

Guest restrooms are located on the mezzanine level and main floor of the venue.

RE-ENTRY

Re-entry is not permitted for any guest upon leaving the venue.

FIRST AID

Please contact any Commodore Ballroom staff member who will be able to assist in case of an emergency.

TRANSIT

The Commodore Ballroom is within walking distance of many bus routes servicing the downtown core. Please call Translink at 604-953-3333 for exact bus routes, or visit the Translink website.

PARKING

Limited street parking is available near the Commodore Ballroom; allow extra time prior to your event to locate a parking space – Vancouver Metered Parking Information. Paid Parking available at EasyPark Paid Parking Lots

AGE RESTRICTIONS

Most events at the Commodore Ballroom are restricted to 19 years and older. All-Ages events are identified as such. Please refer to the Calendar for specific information.

IDENTIFICATION

If you are asked to provide identification (ID), you will be required to show the following:

  • An official government issued ID (including foreign government issued) with name, picture and birth date; such as a driver’s licence or passport

  • A secondary ID that includes name and signature or picture; such as a credit card or student ID

An expired ID may be used as long as it proves the holder’s age. If door staff has any doubt about an ID, they may refuse entry.

Photocopies or photographs (on phones) are not acceptable.
