Praise for HIVE MIND:
"The Internet has that sort of touch: light, wry, elusive, but probing. There are not very many acts out who are in synch enough to pull that off." The New Yorker
"The slow grooves of the songs on its fourth album, “Hive Mind,” seem to bubble up from quiet, clandestine late-night jam sessions, blurred with dust and smoke while sometimes revealing stray noises, fugitive instruments and little hidden pockets of reverb and distortion." New York Times
“An act of collective conviction. It simplifies and shores up the Internet sound with soft-focus blues, plush arrangements, and deep-in-the-ground grooves." Pitchfork (Best New Music)
“The Internet gifts us a slice of summer's good vibes to carry well into the weeks when the days grow short." NPR
"The Internet crafts bedroom R&B so sinuous it wafts out of the booth like purple smoke." Entertainment Weekly
"The group’s cohesion is simply stunning; the years they’ve spent apart working on solo albums has ironically contributed to a burst in chemistry that sounds honed instead by years of practiced performance." UPROXX
"Hive Mind is very much a band album — the work of a group of musicians who have grown comfortable with each other, playing in rooms together and pushing each other and trusting their own ideas." Steoregum
"Hive Mind remains as soulful as ever, weaving disparate sounds and textures without feeling erratic; it’s moving even at its most minimal." SPIN
"The band’s acute attention to detail and commitment to singularity create the kind of nuance that makes Hive Mind’s most effervescent compositions practically glitter." Consequence of Sound
"The Internet prove themselves to be a force of white light, their rainbow colors divided equally and illuminating an innovative path for future generations to walk." FLOOD Magazine
"A true work of art." Brooklyn Vegan
